Colleen Maijala

About

My name is Colleen Maijala and I am a graphic designer. Since 1994 I have been creating catalogs and flyers for print and ventured into web design when my employer sensed a need to build a website. While my first love is still print, I am always working on expanding my horizons and learning more about the seemingly limitless possibilities of the web.

For most of the beginning of my career I worked for one company that was purchased by another that was purchased by another. In 2004 I ventured out on my own and have managed to keep myself afloat since then. I still do the principal design work for the company I used to work for, as well as others. I am always trying to expand into new areas and business types.

This website is my attempt at updating my portfolio as well as collecting articles on design for both print and web into one place for reference with full credit given to the authors. If you find anything here that helps you, so much the better.
